What you'll be getting up to:

You’d spend most of your time developing and improving existing projects, for example: 
- Building front-facing websites and pages based on provided technical and functional specifications.
- Implementing different strategies for existing products and tools based on requirements.

We’d also do a ton of work together like:
- Architecting and developing new features
- Prototyping and evaluating potential implementations
- Meeting business stakeholders to understand the problems they wish to address

You would spend a lot of time programming, brainstorming on challenging problems and prototyping
different ideas. You wouldn’t be just churning through tickets in the backlog — you’d be helping to design
entirely new products, figuring out what exactly we’re even building and why.
While being a somewhat big company, we’re split into small teams which means that even though we each have our areas of expertise, we all wear many hats. We’re looking for a programmer, but you’d also help out with things like:

- Writing and improving the documentation for the products and tools we make
- Helping customer support answer customer questions
- Maintaining the ownership of our product, and
- Assisting in troubleshooting production incidents
- Take part in OOH on-call application support rota

If you’ve ever maintained a large project, working with us carries a lot of the same responsibilities.

 

Requirements:
You should have at least 5 years of professional experience in developing Web applications using PHP and Javascript.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.

  • Great English skills verbal & written

  • Team spirit & team player

  • Problem solving attitude

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Advanced PHP

  • Advanced Javascript

  • HTML/CSS knowledge & preprocessors such as SCSS & LESS

  • OOP and design patterns knowledge

  • Git knowledge

  • Bash and Linux in general, SSH

  • Docker

  • Redis

  • HTTP and REST

  • MySQL

  • Knowledge of asynchronous data fetching mechanisms

 

Tools we think you need to be familiar with:

  • Experience with Kibana and Grafana

  • Gitlab (or another) CI/CD tool

  • Experience / skills we’d love you to have:

  • Varnish or HTTP accelerators in general

  • Microservices architecture

  • Advanced database knowledge

  • Working experience with Drupal

  • NodeJs
