About the job
As a Global Team member, you will bring your ability to gracefully blend rigorous quantitative analytical skills using natural language processing tools with qualitative insight identification to tell compelling stories to our clients.
A Senior Data Analyst must create refined Boolean strings, analytical frameworks, and keen insights to help our clients understand what is most important to a consumer. Our team is focused on business outcome development of both strategic and tactical recommendations allowing our clients to grow business. We don’t just identify insights; we tie them to actions.
Our team members are persistent and curious, unwilling to accept the obvious, and relentless about digging into the data to identify “nuggets" of unexpected insights. To succeed in this role, you need to be very independent and have an eye for detail. You also must be able to juggle more than one project often in very different industries, work under aggressive timelines at times, and be interested in presenting findings to senior executives.
About You
Education and/or Experience:
• B.A./B.Tech/MBA in related field such as Business, Economics, or Social Sciences.
• Minimum 4 years related experience (Market Research, Insights, Ad Agency, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Familiar with US/American English with an understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances
• Should have familiarity with a social listening dashboard tool
• Should have a flexible mindset to be able to get intuitive understanding of an unstructured project
• Basic proficiency in using Python or SQL for data manipulation
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms along with good hands-on PowerPoint to showcase the derived results effectively.
• Able to effectively use the internet to perform sentiment analysis and competitor analysis based on secondary research
• Able to cultivate social media for sources of rich consumer insight
• Must be aware of the US culture
What You Will Be Doing
PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze unstructured data using statistical techniques and proprietary natural language processing tools to identify actionable insights for new product development, competitive intelligence, brand strategy, etc.
• Create comprehensive linguistic terms based on Boolean logic
• Master proprietary linguistic and charting tool
• Define and organize data harvest to create a working dataset
• Select appropriate frameworks, tools and approaches that are replicable for future waves of analysis
• Analyze and identify blind spots, opportunities and areas of interest
• Prioritize tasks, manage time, and internal communication in order to lead multiple projects simultaneously
• Craft strategic insights into client presentation materials in multiple formats
• A keen sense of when to take individual action and when to seek guidance
• Integrate client data streams, third party information, and / or other research to triangulate and sharpen your derived insights.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop a deep understanding of client’s business environment, current strategy, competitors, and challenges
• Keep abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies and companies that can change the client’s businessPresent findings to internal and external business stakeholders, ensuring the insights align with business objectives.
